Destinations

AQABA

JORDN

Port of Aqaba is Jordan’s only seaport, located in Aqaba at the head of the Gulf of Aqaba, serving as the country’s primary maritime trade gateway. The port ecosystem is developed/owned via Aqaba Development Corporation and includes multiple specialized terminals. A key facility is Aqaba Container Terminal, which functions as a major container gateway for the Levant/Jordan trade flows. Passenger/vehicle ferry services may also connect Aqaba with Nuweiba (Egypt), depending on the operator schedule.

nouba

eg

Nuweiba Port is an Egyptian port under the Red Sea Ports Authority, located on the western coast of the Gulf of Aqaba in South Sinai. It supports passenger and cargo movements and serves as a maritime link between Egypt and **Aqaba, Jordan via ferry services (subject to operators, schedules, and weather). Official port data include coordinates (28°57′N, 34°39′E), UN/LOCODE (EGNUW), and VHF channel information.

duba

saudia

Duba Port sits on the Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk Region, serving as a key gateway for passenger and cargo traffic (including Ro-Ro vehicles and general cargo) under the oversight of Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI). Its location is strategically positioned on the Red Sea shipping lane with proximity to the Suez Canal route toward the Mediterranean, supporting regional and international trade flows. The port is also being expanded and marketed as Port of NEOM to support NEOM logistics, including container and general cargo handling and broader supply-chain services.

safaga

egypt

Safaga Port is located in Egypt’s Red Sea Governorate on the western coast of the Red Sea, about 60 km south of Hurghada, and sits within a naturally sheltered bay partly protected by Safaga Island and surrounding mountains. It is an important logistics gateway for cargo movements (including mineral shipments such as phosphate) and general trade, with ongoing/announced development initiatives to enhance operational capacity and services. There are also efforts to boost cruise tourism via concession-based operations of cruise terminals involving AD Ports Group and the Red Sea Ports Authority.

Ships

Riyadh ship

Cairo Ferries and Maritime Transport Company's ferries represent the latest means of transporting passengers and vehicles between the ports of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the ports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia year-round. The two ferries, Cairo and Riyadh, were built in one of the world's largest shipyards for high-speed ferries in Australia and were gifted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Egypt upon their completion at the end of 2008. These ferries are the fastest operating on these routes, reaching a cruising speed of 34 knots, approximately 60 km/hour. They cover the distance between Safaga Port and the Saudi port of Duba in about 3 hours, from dock to dock. These ferries are of the double-hull type, and their structure is built from aluminum sections and plates approved by international classification societies. The ferries are propelled and steered by four water jets with a total power of 28,800 horsepower. These engines consume approximately six tons of diesel fuel per hour. The ferries are equipped with the latest communication, rescue, and fire-fighting equipment produced by leading manufacturers worldwide. Numerous safety, rescue, and fire-fighting equipment have been provided on board to ensure the safety and protection of passengers in emergencies, in accordance with relevant international conventions on safety of life at sea, as well as Egyptian and Saudi laws.
